Winners of Smart Minds 2024 Onsite Art Creativity Contest

In the spirit of inspiring young minds, the Yspot Brand held the 9th Edition of Smart Minds spelling bee competition (SBC) and Art Creativity CONTEST (ACC) on 24th May 2024 In collaboration with UBEB, and Elpida Development Foundation.

The event featured three (3) pupils – two (2) for the SBC and one (1) for the ACC – each from eight (8) primary schools in the Kuje Municipal Area of Abuja bringing the total number of participants to twenty-four (24) – 16 for the SBC and eight (8) for the ACC.

Although each of the contestants showed brilliance and grit, only three winners were selected from each of the events

The winners of the SBC:
Winner: Nainat Aliyu-Aynil, 10 years old in grade 5 from the Science Primary School, Kuje

1st Runner Up: Peculiar Victor, 9 years old in grade 6 from Model Primary School Kuje.

2nd Runner Up: Hafast Umar, 15 years old in grade 6 from LEA primary school Dafara

The winners of the ACC:
Winner: Praise D. Bala, 12 years old in grade 6 from LEA primary school Kayarda, Kuje.

1st Runner Up: Nafiu Ibrahim, 13 years old in grade 6 from LEA primary school Kiyi, Kuje.

2nd Runner Up: David Daniel, 9 years old in grade 6 from Science Primary School, Kuje

Thanks to all our sponsors, the winners of the competition each received the following; Medals, Certificates and Scholarships for their remaining term(s) in primary school.

Our special gratitude goes to the Yspot Brand Team (SBC lead, ACC lead, Judges, Word announcer, Word Projectors, Media and the Welfare team, who worked tirelessly to ensure the event was a success. We would also like to thank the Universal Basic Education Board officials (UBEB), the participants and their parents.
